Help- Front wheel bearing preload on 91 300SE

I had a bad bearing about a year ago. I replaced both inner and outer and it was fine for about a year. Then when I was getting new tires, the tire guy showed me the left front wheel wobbled quite a bit while on the lift. the car rode fine though which is strange. I took off the cap and tightened up the holding bolt to take most of the play out. After about a week, the play was back and the bearings were shot. I just put in new bearings. The 126 service manual says to adjust preload to 2 mm. This seems high to me, it's alsmost 0.1 intches(.08). Is this right? or maybe it was a misprint and should be 0.2mm?
Thanks
