Weld wheels group purchase!!!

First heads up: It's gonna be a little while before it's all ready to go, but we are trying to get it into action now to get as many people as possible to take advantage of this deal... and remember the more people sign up the better deals we get!!

Second: this is NOT restricted to f-bodies!!!

Me and a couple others on my local board, www.njfboa.org saw how we all were looking to buy Prostars. We said hey why not contact Weld, see if we can get a group buy together???

One guy who goes by the name "cbrrmike" emailed them. They just got back to him and said, "Please forward your request for sizes, styles and vehicle applications to me and I will see what I can work out for you."

This means that price we don't know as of yet - it depends on how many people we get. Also we are guessing that the more of the SAME wheels we get (IE many sets of prostars or draglites or whatever) the better deal, but once again that is out guess.

So, who's down?? Weld makes some very good, light, and attractive drag wheels, and they also make all different kinds of normal street wheels for TONS of applications.

The two most recognizable styles, to us at least, are probably:

Prostars

and Draglites

You can check out their site, www.weldracing.com to see sizes and other styles.

If you want in you hve a few options. You can:
1) reply to this thread;
2) message me;
or 3) sign up on NJFBOA.org and post in the Lounge, in the thread titled "anyone interested in weld wheels?"

#3 would be the easiest but either way just if you're interested with this make sure you go through me/njfboa, since in Weld's eyes the GP is being, basically, "hosted" through njfboa.

Remember we will need 3 things: size, style, and application (what year/make your car is).

Awesome opportunity to get some good wheels and real good prices.

Re: Weld wheels group purchase!!!

If you could tell me the standard size for the front wheels, I'd be interested. I've got Convo Pro's with the 15*3.5"s on the front and want something like 15*8's (I think). If Weld's gonna go deep I'd consider going in on it.

Soooo.... 2-15*12's and 2-15*8's - Prostars.

Pro stars.

Re: Weld wheels group purchase!!!

well if i were to get some, i would only get a rear set of prostars... and i would get prolly 16x10 or so... that for a '97 camaro

just want somethin to throw some slicks on

edit: i may want to go a little thinner than that, but if you can get a rough estimate from them of how much it will cost, then i'll know for sure wether i'm going to look into it or not...

Check Weld's site but I believe that prostars only go up to 15" diameter... why do you need any bigger than that for drag tires anyway?

You're saying you want 15 by 8's for the front and 15 by 12s for the rear?

Think so. I'm pretty sure the ones on the rear now are 15*12's. The fronts are like 15*3.5". I want a lot more stability up front, and THINK 15*8's are what I want. Is that too wide???
