remove oil dipstick?
do i have to remove the oil dipstick when putting on lt headers? if so, do i have to drain the oil? and does it just pull out or is it threaded?

if you do have to move it, i don't know if you do or not, it just pulls out, you don't have to darin the oil. but when you do it put some tape over the hole so no dirt or any thing gets in the oil.

Might as well drain the oil if the dipstick comes out.
I can't remember what year car you have, motor either. Damn the Jack.... I know on the LS1 the dipstick can stay...but it can makes things a little rough. If you remove it...I would start the car for about 30 seconds, then change the oil. Just in case.

I don't believe it needs to come off. It stays right along the block.
It is pretty easy to remove if does need removed. One bolt on the head holds it in place. Unbolt it and pull.
