Confused Help Lol

Okay so on the drivers side to the left near the seat,


there are trunk release / gas door release knobs, and next to that is a keywhole...


WHAT IS THE KEYHOLE FOR...!?!?!?

Take a picture... Mine doesnt have a keyhole there. Nor have I seen a keyhole there for any other DSM.

thats odd, I will take a picture tommorow and put it on...

I don't have one either but on some cars there is a valet key and you can lock the trunk/gas door. Some cars (newer ones) you can't adjust the seat with a valet key.

I dont get the point of that...

What would switching the key do, release the locks on both the trunk and gas door completley? That seems pointless...

I stick my key in and it wont turn...

If someone breaks into your car, they can't simply pop your trunk and help themselves. The lock just makes it harder for them to open the trunk, that's all.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh now it makes sence! Thats a cool feature...

Does the car key turn it cuz i tried and it doesnt work, maybe its just old...

I wish the freaking metal line that opens my gas cap didnt break lol...

lol breaking into the trunk wouldnt be hard at all from the inside...

even with out a release knob or key all you do is unclamp the bottom back seat, then rip off the top part of the back seat, and your basically in...
