Finished Porsche Carrera GT

I've built this one in ten or eleven days, it's a present for my girlfriend on Saint Valentine's Day. She just wanted me to build a car for her

Re: Finished Porsche Carrera GT

Bodywork was painted with Alclad II, Aluminium tone. Later it has some automotive lacquer over it.

Re: Finished Porsche Carrera GT

Looks gorgeous. Great finish, and it's nice to see a GT in a factory color around here for a change.

It's always great when your significant other supports your building habit!

Hate to pick nits on such a pretty build, but- the wheel nuts on one side (I believe the left) should be red, not blue. The left side and right side nuts thread in opposite directions (so the wheels don't come off while driving)- and to keep them apart, one side is anodized in blue, the other side in red.

Re: Finished Porsche Carrera GT

MPWR, you're right. I didn't know it and I didn't realize when looking at the instructions. At least my girlfriend is not going to say "what the fuck did you do with the color of the wheel nuts"

I had the GT twice, I'll do it again spending more than two weeks, using some PE and CF decals, and (I hope) not repeating some mistakes I did in this one.

Regards

Lucky Girl !!
Yu're good! Fantastic stuff, mainly I appreciate leather look and color choice (it's really sand/gold silver or it's a lighting effect?) also great photo skills.

I had a bit of goosebumps when I saw the tweezer on the polished surface. Argggggghh
