Re: Your Dream Pontiac

mine would be a 1970 trans am, old skool 455

there's a 1980 t/a at the firebird dealer here modded with a 1970 front and rear end, and a 1970 350 from a t/a, i wouldn't mind picking that up, looks just like a 70 but costs a tenth of the price

Re: Your Dream Pontiac

Well I"m going to get chastised for saying this on a firebird forum, but I'd have to go with a 66 gto TRI POWER. I know the 400 has better numbers, but something about the 389 tri power really gets my blood flowing.

You are right - nothing is as good sounding as a 3x2. I had a '66, white w/green interior. 4sp, 3x2. It had pwr brakes(metalic)/steering and a radio - nothing else. I think today I would want a '64 though (Like the one that tromped my butt back then and lead to my '66 would do).

I'd definately have to go with a 2002 trans am WS6 with a LS7 and twin turbos!
