Re: New R32
Quote:
the passat 2.0T is ONLY 46lbs heavier then the jetta 2.0T comparing the manual versions of each 3259lbs for the jetta, 3305 for the passat... i know. shocked me too... the passat 3.6 4motion (because we know the R36 will have the 4motion system, right?) is a heavy 3829lbs... (automatic, no manual version is available). so, adding the 4motion and the 3.6 V6 over the 2.0T adds 485lbs (comparing automatic transmission trims)... but with a shorter wheelbase the R36 should theoretically add less weight... so it of course wont be 3800lbs. that, and from VW europe (who already have the 2006 R32), i found the "unladen weight" to be 1590kgs... which is 3505lbs. with the bigger 3.6L V6, it'll most likely weight a little more... so at most, the R36 will be 300lbs less than the 3.6L 4motion passat.
