WIP: Body dropped 72 chevy pickup

Just started a new project even though I have many others I should finish. 1972 Chevy pickup. Getting dropped to the ground, cut out fenders and all that good stuff. I should be updating almost daily so check back for more pics.

still working on cutting out the fenders

I still have a lot more on the fenders and will probably end up cutting out parts of the hood so I can lay the body on the ground...

good work on the drop. Hope it turns out well. I love this body style of truck I used to own a 68 that I was restoring

Re: WIP: Body dropped 72 chevy pickup

few more pics, I know my progress is slow...
I have the front suspension how I want it, now I need to drop the rear some more. Which means I'll either have to take out the axle and glue the wheels in there (cheap way) or do it the right way and cut out the bed so I can lift the rear axle up a little more, probably do an air suspension set up if I do it that way.

Re: WIP: Body dropped 72 chevy pickup

well the rear end before was still too high for me

so I cut out the bed so I could raise the rear axle.

Time for a custom air suspension rear end

I can't believe how much cutting and fabrication I'm having to do to lay this thing on the ground with these huge wheels and tires.
