Subs

in your opinions, how does one sub sound compared to two? i just recently bought a 94 saturn sl. it came with wires already in place for a system. looks like it was only set up for one speaker though. would it be difficult to rewire it for two? any suggestions or advice appreciated. thanx

Re: Subs

It's almost all personal preferance.

Some people can do wonders with 1-2 subs, while others prefer 3-4.

Also, how much $$ you got?

Re: Subs

If you put another sub of the same make in there, and give it the same power as the 1st one you will be 6 dB louder. It should not effect sound quality at all.

Re: Subs

currently there are no subs in there at all. the wiring looks setup just one. i thought it might be cheaper just to buy one and put it in but everyone says that two would sound better. i kinda figured they would. a friend of mine has two rockford fosgate 10" punch with a box that hed sell me prolly cheap. he bought them off another friend of ours who had them in his 95 cutless supreme. would the same box fit in my LS trunk? also the amp he had was stolen. any reccemendations? i dont know much about the wiring but i know someone that does. would it be difficult to rewire it for to speakers or does the number of speakers get wired straight off the amp? again, thanx

Re: Subs

if you have the wires ran for an amp then how many subs is up to you. find the amp you want that takes whatever size power wire is already there, hook up the rcas, ground, and the remote wire and run as many subs off that amp as you want. as far as 1 sub over 2. its your choice. one person could have 4 subs and another person have 1 of the same and and the single sub setup could be louder and sound better.

Theoretically in a perfect world .

And we all know we don't live in a perfect world.

grab ahold of the box, put it in the back, look at it..did you have any issues putting it in. then it fits

if you had issues putting it in...it doesn't fit .

there, answered your question.
