heller 1/18 renault R24

I'm currently building the renault R24 in scale 1/18 from heller. Bought the kit for 17€ so i cant be scammed.
The kit is quite good but there is allot of sanding and puttiyine needed.
Already did some work on the cowling and rear spoiler.

i really need some good reff pics , so if you can help me just let me know

If your after reference shots, check out the thread at the top of the page titled Motorsports Reference Archives. Lots of links to high detail shots of the R24. Just search and you will find.

Rather strange construction they've used on the nose of the monocoque. Looks like they're more interested in making the basic livery in coloured plastic than easy, join free fitment. Good luck with the build, I'll be following it with great interest. If only it was in a more "normal "scale.

Re: heller 1/18 renault R24

In the world of resin kits 1:18 seems be growing in popularity. Companies such as MG are releasing more kit's in this scale. I think for me it is too large, I like smaller things but I may build a 1:18 Ferrari as a centre peice for my lounge.

Re: heller 1/18 renault R24

Had some time and did some small updates.
Already painted the body with the undercoat en the first layer of bleu.
It looks like i managed to sand al the lines away where there shouldn't be lines . And the body looks quite good.
Also the wheels received their layer of paint.

Still a long way to go.
Comments welcome ofcourse

Re: heller 1/18 renault R24

I saw this kit but kinda looked past it since ive never been a fan of heller kits and the kit being 1/18 kinda discouraged me from buying it. Now that ive seen yours im definitely reconsidering it.

The paint looks great so far, the masking is really super sharp! keep up the good work.
