Good Secret Spot to Place Amp In Spyder???

Sup guys,

I'm kinda stuck on where to place an amp in my spyder. I really dont want to pin it to the interior trunk wall. I thought about that space behind the cross bars underneath where the covertible top drops. Is that kool, or do you think it might overheat? I just don't want to place it in an area where's it's easily viewable. Having a Spyder, people might think how easy it is to just slice my top to open my trunk and steal it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

just make sure your's doesn't leak back there there isn't much air flow. That area is where I have my sub. I'm not sure of a better place unless you could fit it inunder a seat. You coudl always cover it and just put fans or something by it in the main trunk.

Just my 2cents

Youre right on with that one...having a Spyder will make you a likely target for vandalism, just because it's quieter and easier to rip a canvas top than to shatter glass. I have my amp placed in the same area behind the crossbars, bolted to the metal. It hsant over heated yet: it powers two 12" Fosgate subs in the trunk.

Bolted to the metal? Where exactly?

Shpyder do you have problems with leaks as Nova mentioned?

I never had leaks there but occasionally there was water in the top part and I never knew where it went to.... It never hurt anything of mine but just figured I would mention it.
