WTF is this noise??? Please help me if you know
Ok fellas, hopefully someone can help me. The car is a 97 EX, bone stock. I have a noise that sounds like I am driving a jacked up 4x4. You know the sound that mud tires make going down the highway, sort of a humming sound. I recently had to change my motor mounts which where shot. Because of the bad mounts, I had to put new CV axles, and my tires got all choppy, so I put 4 new tires on it last week. I do not think the sound is affected by rpm's, but rather by speed. The faster I go the louder it gets. I can put the car in neutral going 80 and it sounds the same, BTW I have an automatic.
What can this be? Maybe some sort of bearings or something? Car seems to function properly except for the damn noise. I have to turn the radio pretty loud to not hear it and I can barely hear my cell phone over the niose. I travel alot with work, and do not want to get stranded 200 miles from home if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance |

the noise might be the valves because hondas have been none to have the valves chatter because of not changing the oil.

I agree with kicker1solo. It might possibly be your new tires.
