Sorry to ask a newb. question and a question asked over and over but I'm in a hurry...I'm looking to buy an rsx within the next 6-8 months but I'm curious about the power gains and driveability of a rsx with a turbo, on with a supercharger, and one with that is N/A. I'd really like to shoot for mid and top end power...all 3 have advantages and disadvantages but I'm not sure what info to look for and how to read torque graphs...I'm an idiot
! I just don't know what to look for so if someone could help me...please do. Things like powerbands, shift points, boost (psi?), and just overall comfort I guess is what I'm asking...thanks for the info...if i get any?

Re: SC vs TC vs NA
A modified RSX is like any other modified car- if you do it right and allocate your funds responsibly the car will be fine. If you half-ass it, you're going to run into problems.
A turboed Type S is going to require alot of cash if you want to do it right. You'll have to beef up your internals due to the engine's high compression and also look into an intercooler, fuel management, a header, good tires and things like that if you want the most out of it. If you tune right you'll get great gains. If you can't afford to upgrade internals, you really can't run higher boost reliably/long-term. A supercharged Type S will give you better immediate power since there is no turbo lag (which is always nice for a car with no low-end like the RSX/ Hondas in general). Although lag is not such a huge issue anymore so a turbo is usually the better option for a low-displacement four cyl. I like all-motor for the RSX. It responds well to these mods and will remain reliable. A CAI will give better low-end gains, and an SRI will be better in mid-high. You can lower i-vtec crossover and raise redline with a reflash. Add a good stainless header like Comptech, a high-flow cat, good rubber and a short shifter kit and you'll have fun. The stock exhaust tubing is more than sufficient, although welding on a Borla race muffler in place of stock wouldn't hurt. If you want straight speed and you have money to burn, go turbo. If you want good gains and reliability, go NA. Whatever you do, you need new tires (stock Pilots are worthless) and should look into suspension upgrades.
