transmission shift points control?
my 94 1500 4x4 is shifting what seems to be to early. and dragging the engine down. unless I have my foot into it.
I replaced the tps about a month ago and was wondering if this could be the cause of the trans shifting to early. doesn't the TPS help with the trans shift points? I know that the tps one these is not adjustable. could the new tps be bad? or just out of adjustment. I have read in the past somewhere about opening the holes and making these somewhat adjustable. but can't seem to fine that info now. thanks Joe |

Re: transmission shift points control?
On my 97 thereis a cable by the throttle body that goes to the tranny and it controls the shift.
When I replaced the intake gaskets, I had to adjust it. Bob B |

Re: transmission shift points control?
mine does not have a cable.
I was under the impression that 93 was the last year for the tv cable. and in 94 they all went electronic. Joe |

I'll recheck my manual and see what the cable is. I'll get back to you. Bob B |
