Unhappy Turn Signals Quit Working

I have 96 Pontiac Grand Am with 98,000 miles. The turn signals quit working. There is no clicking sound. I checked fuses and they don't appear blown and the lights are working.
I tried to find the flasher thinking it might be the problem, but could not find it.
Can anyone tell me where to look for the flasher?
Also, does anyone know other causes for the signals not working other than the fuse or lights?

I would really appreciate any help this is my daughter's car.
Thanks,
RP7073

Re: Turn Signals Quit Working

Do the hazard lights work? If not either the flasher or power to it.

Go Here for a schematic. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d8009d490.jsp

I Think the flasher is on the back of the fuse box in the 96 but I dont remember for sure.

Re: Turn Signals Quit Working

On my 95 the flasher is down by the brake pedal, there was a little compartment door I opened up and it dropped down at me, I figure that was because who ever replaced it before didn't re-secure it though. Mine has 2 flasher's, one that controls the 4-ways, and one for the turn signals. If your 4-ways work then i'd turn them on so that you can identify that flasher & replace the other one. You might even be able to switch the flashers to see if that solves your problem, check the part numbers before you do though.
