96 Supreme 3.1L coolant leak

Have a 96 Cutlass Supreme w/the 3.1L V6. Has a slight coolant leak. Coolant is lying in the valley under the intake manifold. Thermostat housing is dry. Coolant is starting to drip down in front of the starter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

first of all check all the hoses and clamps.... your radiator cap might have junk in it or something and may be spraying out..

what i'm trying to say is find the leak...

good luck

Re: 96 Supreme 3.1L coolant leak

It is possible that you have a leak in the intake manifold gasket. Check your oil to see if it has any water. It will look chocolate in color rather than tan and you may see an increase in the oil level. If that is the case get the manifold gasket replaced asap and don't drive it this will ruin the bearings. The other possibility is that you have a leak in a hose that only shows up under pressure. You can have the cooling system pressure tested as that may show you where the leak is. Good Luck!
