drifted into ditch, help?!?

So the other night I was drifting a dirt road when my passenger accidentally pulled my handbrake up mid-corner. We ended up in a ditch and had to get towed out by my friends pickup (coulnd't shift because I was resting on the shift-linkage). Everything seemed allright except that I broke the headlight control trying to keep us from dying, no biggie because 40ft. away my friend was stripping down a CRX for drag racing and gave me his headlight control. My car seemed low on power on the way home so I stopped to check for anything obvious like creased exhaust or something but saw nothing. The last hundred yards to my parking lot I started hearing the valves clicking and clacking and the car stalled at a stop sign, I coasted into my parking lot and started checking it out with a flashlight. I thought maybe when I hit the ditch my distributor shifted forward and messed up my timing but that wasn't it. My oil was fine, I can't think of anything other than maybe my timing belt skipped a tooth or two. Any suggestions? My B18's not ready to be dropped in so I may put my old D16 back in for the time being, oh well, at least I have extra motors

I would have Kicked His A$$ in the ditch and left him there... And made him pay for my car aswell, then when my car got fixed.. I would kick his A$$ again.. jus for making me have to put my car in the shop- and wait for it to come back out.

is it definitly coming from the engine ? not tranny or anything. do you have fuel, you may have busted a fuel line when ditched ? clack clack stall out of gas ? check to make sure you didnt bust a hole in your tranny

Trust me, gas is fine, tranny is fine, it's the valves clacking. The only problem i had with the tranny was trying to shift while still half in the ditch, sitting on top of the shift linkage making linkage not work. I'm just wondering how bad the damage is, I can't really blame him as he didn't expect the drift and he didn't know what he was grabbing. He just got his drivers license and didn't know that the e-brake locked up the rear wheels when engaged, he doesn't have the money anyways.

Dude, quit making excused for your dumbass friend. Any idiot knows that shit in the middle is the E-Brake,

Maybe he didnt know that it locked up rear wheels, but it still doesent excuse the fact that he messed with something that he shouldnt have been. Get the money out of him somehow, there is no excuse for pulling someones ebrake.

We were going somwhere about a month ago in a friends 89 Lexus 250, and the guy in the pass seat pulls the e-brake, and the car pulls a 180 right into a mailbox. The owner of the car then parked facing the wrong way in front of the e-brake pullers house, and called the insurance co, and police, and filed that someone had hit his car while it was parked there. After the entire ordeal was over, the owner of the car and the e-brake puller took it outside and lets just say, broken nose, hospital.
