Starting problem
Well, Im just flat out confused now...When I go to start my car sometimes, I have to hold the pedal to the floor to get it to start and fire, but other times I just have to turn the ignition and its fine. My auto teacher said it might be a faulty tempture sensor. A friend said maybe dirty or clogged injectors. I plan on taking it to autozone when I can to see what codes its throwing besides the 2nd o2 sensor. All I can remember is a long time ago the car threw a code and I didnt think anything of it. Also, sometimes it starts up then dies and I have to give it a little gas for a secon or 2 to get it to idol.

The 2nd O2 alone wont throw a cel. It's hard to say but i'd take it to autozone and get it checked soon cause who knows what it could be.

The downstream o2 sensor would throw a code if either the cat was removed/not working, or if the o2 sensor was not installed. It would only throw a code in closed loop mode and the code would be a bad cat code. If it was a bod coolant temp sensor it might cause your problem but I would think it would be more constand than what you described

My cat not existing never threw a cel on it's own but if i check the dtc's with dsmlink it's there...
