Question '04 Clutch problems

Got my '04 Neon. For over a month now, if it is cold outside (freezing or below), I can't get a nice crisp engagement from my clutch. Get on the gas, shift quick between gears at WOT, and the RPM's will slip for a couple seconds before everything hooks together. Kinda sounds and feels like an automatic shifting. When this first started, I thought the clutch was going out, but 2000 miles later, I have the same problem... no better, no worse. It comes and goes and seems to be temperature dependent. I checked the fluid in the clutch reservoir and everything is good. Any suggestions? I have heard of wierd things happening with fluids... this is an odd problem that I have never experienced or heard of before.

Re: '04 Clutch problems

Cold temps have a thickening effect on oils.Does it quit after the car gets warmed up or after you have pumped the clutch alot?It may just be the temp outside. The grease on my throwout bearing gets thick and frozen in really cold temps so when I start the car I get scrubbing noise till it gets warmed up then it goes away.
