REGAL GS 97 or 97.5?
My car is a 97 Regal GS. Production date is 7/97. Since its an oddball year for Regals i have trouble getting the right parts sometimes. Ive been told a number of times it is a 97.5. When i called AC Delco the told me that GM did not produce any 97.5 cars at all. If anyone can clear this up i would appreciate it.. Also i think BNAYLOR has the same car, so he might have a good answer.

Re: REGAL GS 97 or 97.5?
Just get parts for a 98, everything should match up just fine.

Re: REGAL GS 97 or 97.5?
My Regal GS is a 2001 model but you must be referring to my Grand Prix. My GTP is a '97.5 model based on the year and month of production. My re-programmed DHP PCM is actually for a 1998 model GTP. Technically, the 1997 Regal GS is just a 97 model, although it is acknowledged there were significant production changes causing a quandry on parts.
I'd go with Tman's suggestion.

Re: REGAL GS 97 or 97.5?
Technically the late model regal did start as a 97.5 model, but it't production started late in the product cycle, so it honesly should be a 98 model.
