Re: engine swaps
don't know what any of those are, but if you look around a bit on the internet people do engine swaps all the time. v8's are pretty common, but i would look for an s2000 engine and transmission [ive heard good things..]

Re: engine swaps
Well as some clarification for responder number 2...
The 13b is out of an RX-7 the S2K... S2000 is obviously out of the Honda S2000 The V8 would be a chevy small block V8 The SR20 is a nissan engine out of a 240SX I believe. Not that I have an answer for the original question but to clear up an confusion. Doubletap |

Actually, the sr20 is either out of a sentra or a silvia, but very common for 240's to swap a sr20 into them.

Re: engine swaps
i read that the 1.6L Turbo in the 80's RWD 323 was stripped of it's turbo for the first gen 1.6L Miata's.....that swap would be easy i'd imagine.

Re: engine swaps
they were identical engines, well from the same engine family anyway
the b6 (1.6L) and bp (1.8L) motors were used in 323s and mx5 and most parts were interchangable mazda did however, make a GTR varient of the 323 for rally purposes. the bpd motor (found in the 323 gtr) is the ultimate engine of the b series mazda motors and is easily swapped into an mx5 or ford lasers. you could throw a small fortune into a 1.8L depending on purpose, induction (forced or natural) and of course feasability. |
