1982 Gauges don't work

None of my gauges are working. No oil indicator, No temp gauge, No Battery indicator, or my clock. I don't have a fuse panel diagram and I pulled the fuses I thought would help, but they were ok. Please advise
Thank You

Is your fuel gauge working? I can't remember were it is at on the block, but I remember a 5 amp fuse for my old 81.

Are we suggesting the fuse that possibly needs to be changed is somewhere near the engine under the hood and not down by my kick panel?
This would explain why I'm wrecking my brain

OK I went out there again and found no fuses under the hood. Is there a way I can test my gauges to see if they work?

I meant the fuse block... Try getting a trusty test light start your truck up and start testing fuses... you can touch the back of the fuse ussually there is some exposed metal for each tab. The test light should be hot on both sides of the fuse.

Have you pulled your guage cluster out to see if the electrical connector is still in one piece, or burned? If my memory serves me correct the connector on the back has multiple wires and is what runs all guages, except the speed-o it is cable operated.

Will the fuel gauge work though?

I checked, Then I took it to Advance Auto Parts where they checked just like you explained and they recommend I pull my panel because all look good from the fuse end.

I'm bangin my head not wanting to pull my cluster but this is what it comes to so I will.

After converting this 4L60E to 4L60 I just want to chill. But for the Love of Sierra I pull her cluster down tonight.

Thanks Guys and Gals

Has anything been done to the truck that would lead to a dash issue?

Not that I know of. So what I plan to do tonight is screw in another temp sensor. if it works I'll proceed to the next one, if not I'll pull the dash.
Any suggestions?

I could see one guage failing but not all of them at one time. Its got to be something in the dash or in the electrical system. as others have said my first guess would be a blown fuse. Get a test light and you can test everyfuze on your panel without removing the fuses(craftsman) has a decent one.

Your year model truck does not have a fuse block under the hood as far as I know. The only fuse block it has is at the drivers side kick panel. Before you pull the dash check every fuse on the truck. Are your dash lights working for all the guages?

this is a very weird deal. IF all the fuses are good? then i would think it has to be in the cluster? If no-one has screwed with the dash or electrical system lately, or installe any radio stuff, or anything electrical its had to say from "here".

You just went out to your truck one day and most all of the guages just did not work for whatever reason.?

I don't know about your specific year model but on my 92 K1500 the cluster for all the guages and speedometer is combined. It all comes out together and connects to the truck with one connector. I was having problems with my alternator guage and my temp guage. Plus my truck did not have a factory tach. So I bought a cluster off E-bay with a tach and its almost crazy, but all my guages work correctly now plus I have a factory tach. I guess I got lucky in getting a good cluster, but on my truck you can't repair the individual guages. My friend who works at the lcoal GM shop said that they get about $200 to send the cluster off for repair. I think I gave $80 for the cluster I bought.

Before you do that it would be worth getting someone locally to lock at the truck for you, if you know anyone (mechanic). It just does not make sense that all the guages expect one, just died all of a sudden....
