just some help
hi all...i was thinkin about putting a 400 in my 86 firebird...just wondering if it is somewhat easy(i have the 2.8 in there now) or possible(i think it is) and where i might possiblbly find one. it will take me some time to finish so if i need to rebuild one that is fine. thanks in advance.

Re: just some help
it will not be easy but it can be done, you need alot of stuff to do it though. you need tons of new parts!!

Re: just some help
i realize this will be a long expensive project anyway because even though it still runs its not in the best shape, and my hopes are to get it to be half restored half suped up, or something like that, so any advice is welcome
thanks for the input 97cav |

Re: just some help
I wanted to do the same thing, found a 400 for 100 bucks at a boneyard, but didn't go through with it, looking back.... should have. Bargain shop, it may not be as bad as ya think, plus that will be killer, i love something different like that. Hope you find stuff easy
