1998 Villager knocks in hot weather
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem inexpensively? I've got a 98 Villager that has shown the trouble code 0325 since I bought it 4 years ago. Only this trouble code shows up in a scan. Pretty much, I've ignored it, but when I drive it in hot weather, the engine knocks so bad that it sounds like a diesel. Cold weather driving is fine. Please tell me there is a fix for this that doesn't involve removing the intake manifold, or paying $2500 to a professional.

Use a better fuel. Let the fuel go down to about 1/4 and then fill it up with the next grade fuel of what you are currently using. It may just need a better fuel to keep it going. How many miles on it,condition etc.

![]() Anyway, your knock sensor evidently isn't working and I am guessing you probably are using low-octane fuel. 1) Replace the knock sensor. 2) Use 92 octane or above ONLY. |
