hot starting problem

my hot starting problem is getting worse, after a while of it acting semi-right. after car has been driven and heated to norm. op. temp. and it cools for 30+min(like if u were at store in parking lot) when back in and try to crank, it will start then act like it floods(being fuel injected thought it took care of that?) can sometimes keep it running on 1st crank if a tap the gas on & off until it picks up and rpms stay up. the rpms would jump up & down from 500-1500 without pushing gas. and when it dies and try starting again(several times has been) can smell gas from underhood & from exhaust. it has had recent tune-up(maybe 6months ago) plugs, wires, cap&rotor, k&n airfilter, fuel filter, pcv valve, 2 new o2(1 got clogged or burnt up when i cleaned the intake with carb cleaner down the tbi. was told to try that to help my prob and didnt help) new egr(was stuck & ac/delco factory defective was reversed flow from what i needed), new tps.
i think the passenger side injector doesnt shoot as good as other(not as good of conical spray, but neither are to perfect) so may need new fuel pump and or injecors, and i bet that would be fun on one of these cars. had my dad watch the tbi as i cranked and he said it looked like the gas was pooling on the butterfly of the tbi. he is used to the old school carbs, not the newer fuel injections(tbi, mpfi ect.) so he doesnt know if its supposed to do that or if its adjustable, and i dont either, so i turn to you all again for some help. is the tbi adjustable or would that be computer controlled, maybe sensor problem?

Re: hot starting problem

Gas shouldn't pool in any type of fuel system. Do a pressure test to determine wiether you have a pump or regulator problem.

Afterward, yank your plugs they're probably foul. Your car is starting whne you press the accelerator because that shuts the injectors off.

Also bear in mind the longer your fuel system has problems, the next system in the domino effect will be the ignition.
