Re: possible to add a 6th gear?

no, you can't simply add a gear to a transmission and as far as I know, there's no 6 speed that bolts onto the DSM side of a 4G63.

You don't really need it, with the right amount of money I would assume it's possible, but realistically, it's not a good idea.

Remember, the Evo 4g63 is a mirror from ours, the tranny is on the other side correct? I dont think it would be any easier than hooking up a Honda tranny.

Ya, but what if you just take the tranny out, and like just flip it lol.

That's the "in" thing to do these days at the track

I'd like to go down the track in reverse at over 90mph.

How would it even bolt on upside down? Can you bolt your head on upside down? (<--- rhetorical question)

Re: possible to add a 6th gear?

Even if you could get an MR tranny to work, I read on an evo forum that they arent nearly as strong and don't hold up to power nearly as well as the 5 speed evo tranny.
