Re: Honda Civic SIR EK4

Hi,

colour finish looks like on your Mustang. Do you cover it with clear or will you polish it out?

Re: Honda Civic SIR EK4

Yellow is a hard colour do bring to a body. Around the doors it looks quite dark, the yellow didnīt cover the base quite well. What colour was the base coat or - if covering the plastic directly- what was the colour of the body?

Re: Honda Civic SIR EK4

Yeh, Tamiya's yellow tends to draw away from the panel lines... You should try painting them using very light mist coats, so the paint doesn't have the chance to run.

Keep it up!

Re: Honda Civic SIR EK4

Your EK is looking good!! Any plans? or box stock?

Indeed. yellow doesn't not cover ANYTHING!

I make the mistake on my yellow EK as I sanded some of the white primer off before I spray the yellow. Those part where the primer was off, the silver shown clear after 2 layers of yellow. In the end, I have to stripe off all the paint and start from ground 0
