Laguna clutch

I have a Laguna 2. 2001 on a 51 plate. A 1.8 priviledge. The clutch is biting near the top and I wondered if anyone knew if it was adjustable. It is a bit of a nightmare as your foot is clear of the floor before the clutch bites and stalling is very easy. Also, anyone know the price of a new clutch inc. labour. Is it one out one in or can you change the friction plate and thrust bearing? Any help would be much appreciated.
