FINISHED original car---Bristol roadster

I took some outdoor photos last week.
Hope you guys like it.
It is modified by a BMW Z8.
Wheels are from Veilside S15 fujimi.
The color is Gunze Red Wine Mica.
Personally, I think this colour is cool.

For the model, the quality of Revell Z8 is acceptable if you don't mind the fitting problems and the lack of detail.
It is good for BMW lovers but not for beginners.

I give this car the name--Bristol, because I want it to sound more classical.
And the car is a bit in Bristish style. Therefore I use this Bristish city name as the name of the car.

I finished this car in a rush.
I hope I can do better next time.

if you wanna see the progress thread, plz search 'neoclassical roadster'.

Re: FINISHED original car---Bristol roadster

Very original model! The paint is very shiny.

I think those side intakes does a lot to make up the car's character

You are a very creative modeller!

I was far from dissappointed, though! Great job

Re: FINISHED original car---Bristol roadster

HMMM

each posting ahead of mine says "great", "fine", etc.

I agree concerning your modeling abilities, no question.

However -after looking very long at the pics- the design makes me wonder, if this could be a modern issue of the Austin Healey Sprite .

For my taste, the lamps in front and rear disturb the lines of the car and appear as if they were added, after the model was finished. The same for the air-intake (?) at the front fenders (that are on the 1:1 car air-outlets).

All in all absolutely not my taste, while lowering the upper side of the door panels make the whole car lower.
