Third brake light replacement

How do I get to the third brake light bulb on a 1999 Ford Escort?

Re: Third brake light replacement

There are 2 plastic buttons on each side of the housing. Press the center of them in, and pull the buttons out. Now you should be able to slide the houseing off. To get the buttons back in, press the centers so that they stick out. Once you put the buttons back in place, press the center flush to lock it.
