Problem with 98 Ranger, HELP!!!

I have a 98 ranger with a 2.5, 5 speed,159,000 and within the past two weeks it has been giving me some problems.
problem one: It quits running in any slight incline.(up or down) It has also done it while coasting to a stop. Not all the time but, every other one or so. Then when i try to restart it, it would start. After I move the truck to a level ground it will start and everything seems normal. I haven't been able to troubleshoot it while at an incline cause I've had to move it out of the way for others to go by. It shows no engine check light and I have put a reader on it and it shows no problems. Now problem two: The power steering resevoir is being pressurize to the point that it will blow all of the power steering fluid out the vent hole in the cap.
Any Help!

Well, I thought it only did it on incline but, it also does it at will. When it shuts off if the key is still in the on possition and you try to start it it will not start but, if you take the key to the off possition then it will start.
Any Help!!!!

Have you changed the fuel filter and or fuel pump? My ranger's fuel pump died around the same mileage as yours. I'm not a mechanic but it's a place to start. You may also have a loose ground wire that may be causing this stalling. Good luck!

Re: Problem with 98 Ranger, HELP!!!

The ignition module on my wife's car caused the car to stall when it got hot. It didn't take too long for it to heat up. It turned out to have a small crack in it and when it expanded from the heat, that is when the car would stall. I don't recall if the key had to be turned all the way off to restart it. But it did less than a minute to cool down and restart the car again. Hope this helps.
