Hi guys, how are you all? Listen, I know this question has probably came up a million times in this forum, but I have dial up and it takes FOREVER to go through this whole forum to find out my problem, so I appologize if this question has came up a few times. I just need a quick answer to help me solve my problem, so bare with me please.
I just bought an 88 Regal Ltd. The digital dash does not work AT ALL!!. I have heard that if I bought a used one from a wrecker and put it in, the chances were it would not work. Is this true?? Along without being able to find out my speed, my fuel guage does not work very well either. If you fill the tank, it will read full, but, after driving for a bit, it goes to empty, then back to full, then empty visa-versa. ALSO, the odometer only works when I am on the highway goin' pretty fast. Any info from you Buick pro's would be greatly appreciated. I just got a $200 speeding ticket cause of the speedo not working, so I don't want to buy a used clauster if it will not work. Is it the cluster I need to replace. Most of these dashes failed within 5 years, there are many companies out there that repair/exchange them, a salvage part may not give you much service.
