AF Newbie....Some completed stuff......

OK guys, as promised here's some of my completed models that I've managed to churn out over the last few years. I'm not a particularly fast builder, but just try to turn out stuff of reasonable quality. Anyhow to start with here's some bikes. These are mainly otb with some small details additions, tabacco markings and carbon decalling where appropriate.

Kenny Roberts 1983 Yamaha from the Tamiya kit and S27 decals....

Valentino's 2000 Honda NSR500 from Tamiya's kit....

Max Biaggi's 2001 Yamaha from Tamiya's kit with S27 decals...

And finally Max's 2003 Honda RC211V, Tamiya kit and S27 decals...

Hope you like them...any feedback is course very welcome. I'll post some more models tomorrow

Re: AF Newbie....Some completed stuff......

I'm not into bikes as much as cars but these all look absolutely superb to me. You maybe new to this forum but it looks like you're not new to modelling!

I noticed the change in colour on the brake/clutch? lever which looks good in the last picture, how did you get the effect, was it using an airbrush?

Also is the red on the 1983 bike fluorescent, it's difficult to tell in the photos, I never know with Marlboro liveries as they are often fluorescent red.

Thanks Darren,

I've been at this for 10 years!!!!

The clutch lever on the Camel bike was simply sprayed titanium silver and coated with metallic bronze and then rubbed off on the outer part of the lever to simulate wear of the anodized finish. Easy as that!

The '83 bike is finished with Tamiya TS36 Flo red, decanted and airbrushed on.

Very nice work!
Are you a Biaggi fan? Looks like he's gone from Moto GP?

Lovely stuff!

Was the 2001 Yamaha done in TS49? Did not expect it to so close to the TS36...

Thanks Rob,
I'm actually a BIG Rossi fan! Max has used up his opportunities now and there's too many young guys that are hungrier than him. Great rider though.

Thanks,
The 01 bike is done with TS49. The 83 bike is much different in the flesh - the photos make the paint look a little darker.
