Post High Mileage 2000 S-Type 4.0

Should I buy a high mileaged used 4.0 s-type? It has 84000 miles on it and its a 2000 model. I have not had it inspected yet but all maintenance was done at the dealer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As long as all maintainance has been done properly and regularly, and you find out about any big services coming up (cambelt, etc) and anything that usually goes at this point you should be OK. Make sure the price is right!

Re: High Mileage 2000 S-Type 4.0

if its not too late i dont think that's a good idea. You really cant trust the dealers to sell you a car with zero defects. Most of the time a jag do not have to go in for the tuneup until 100,000 miles but sometimes they go out before then.. I would say no dont get it.
Good luck
