Welcome to Automotive Forums.

Sure, It's just a lot more work than sticking to the same year.

You might have to change fuel lines over, wires might be in different places,there might be different plugs. There could really be endless things just a little bit different

If you can get the new motor for cheap then go for it, if it's the same sort of price range then I would try sticking to the right year motor.

If you need any advice on the swap feel free to ask it.
