Re: TTOPS Lock

well you can avoid it by not slamming the door, just closing it liek a normal person probably...

Re: TTOPS Lock

I think thats what happened to my camaro. 94 with manual door locks and crank windows, so it's probably a little lighter than others. I bought my car with 260,000 miles on it. The t-top lock on the driver side is missing, and the door lock on the same side is giving me hell. Can I replace just those two locks with dealer replacements, or do I need to replace them all?

So true.. I mean if we got rid of these doors, we'd be 1K pounds lighter!

In seriousness though, why dont you close the door nicely? Instead of treating your car like crap then wondering or worrying about it when something breaks.

these doors are famous for door sag because of the weight. my iroc had no power accessories but the doors were still heavy. the drivers side door had about an inch worth of sag.

You can go to the dealership for new locks, they should be able to order them, just pull the lock and get the number off it. Also, try a locksmith, they might be faster and cheaper.
