Angry 95 Lumina still overheating????

Just replaced radiator due to crack behind top water hose. Wasn't aware of two bleeder screws, but did bleed the one on top of t housing. Drove around to check things out, temp guage got almost to red, heard fans come on, heat was blowing, temp lowered thought was fixed. After driving for maybe 15 mins, wouldn't cool, popped hood and found top hose clamp not on all the way, fixed, but heard girgling noise under throttle body with a lil bit of smoke coming out. Was dark, drunk, new years eve, couldn't find it. Thermostat reason for no heat? Is there any sensors from the thermostat that tell the fans to come on? Need some help..Im sick of messing with this...no garage, middle of winter.

i had the same problem with my temp gage, cuz i was out of coolant. so i'd say check that. i also had the same problem with no heat. it was -20 F outside and my car was blowing frigid air at me and i was in a tanktop. turns out the thermostat was broken. so get that checked too.
