Lightbulb Re: Engine Immobilisor

i had a simular problem with a rover 200, all you do is find which fuse is for the alarm and remove it you will need someone to sit in the car to turn it over, place the fuse back in and at the same time get the second person to turn the car over the will trip you alarm and immobiliser...
<<< sorry about any bad spelling >>>

Re: Engine Immobilisor

When the immobiliser set itself on my 200 coupe I couldn't start my car. Couldn't figure out if it was the Rover alarm or the after market one. Turned out to be the alarm fuse had blown so just replaced it. You can however start the car with a simple hot wire by using a short length of wire but I'm not sure the internet is the place to be stating exactly how this is done. It would help someone in trouble but would be a potential step by step guide on how to steal a car for any would be theives.
