Replacing fuel pump on 79 spit

I am trying to replace my original fuel pump with a replacement from Victoria British however the throw doesn't seem to be hitting the cam enough to pump gas into the filter. Anyone else ever had this problem? If so, sure would appreciate hearing how you fixed it Thanks.

Dan - Two possibilities come to mind:
1. Is there a thick spacer between the pump and the engine block? Try removing it.
2. Maybe VB sent you the wrong pump. Re-check the part numbers.

As an aside, I strongly suggest you go to the Totally Triumph Network...this forum you are on now is virtually unused. I would be surprised if you get even one other reply here.

Dave
