Low idle problems

I have recently posted about the oil light comming on and check engine light. i have a 2.2L 91 sunbird. My dad and i have replaced the PVC thing that is connected to the crank case like a week ago and it ran fine then later today when driving the oil light started to come on again, it was going into low idle. so me and dad looked at the carberator and looked at the breather filter and it was really dirty and whe had went and got a new one and it was still going into low idle. (IS THE BRETHER TUBE SUPPOSE TO BE BLOWING AIR OUT OF IT(SHOULDT IT BE SUCKING AIR IN?)?) Anyone know what might be wrong?

Re: Low idle problems

sounds like you have some high crankcase pressures that is most likely caused by combustion chamber gasses blowing by compression rings. I'm guessing your car has a few miles, it being a 91 and all. do a compression test, it may only be one cylinder or something. i'd say it's time to overhaul or look for a new ride.
