Re: sti turbo install

It will require some tuning, the STI turbo has a larger boost ability than the stock.

Re: sti turbo install

but wont the stock boost solenoid keep the boost at a stock level? i know it will produce more cfm...but it should maintain stock boost right?

Re: sti turbo install

What's the point of changing the set up if you're going to keep the stock levels?

Re: sti turbo install

the sti turbo has a greater cfm rating per psi of boost...thusfar increasing air flow...plus it is more reliable of a turbo....also later on it will be running more boost with tuning...for now i jsut want to put it on...mystock turbo has some shaft play...

Re: sti turbo install

Just tune it and increase the PSI by a little bit. We all know how bugeyes onwards don't like stuff bolted onto them. (assuming you have one of these wrxs lol).

We all know tuning is expensive but better to do it once and do it right.

Re: sti turbo install

You'll only be moving more cfm if you increase the pipe diameters, if you don't replace all the pipes, you'll have the effect of a restrictor on the output of the turbo.

Replace pipes, tune.....zoooooooom!
