STP Products for Cavs?

Hey guys, i was wondering if these STP products would be beneficial for my cavvy? http://www.stp.com/fuel_sc_fic.html It has a lot of miles on it so im thinking it may help, i was thinking the complete fuel system clean n the fuel injector cleaners. Do any of you know if these are any good? A friend says it works great on his vehicle. Thanks

Use stuff that is more concentrated, it usually says use only once every few thousand kms or so. The gm injector cleaner workers really good, and pour it in before you refuel. Then run it empty for best results. You can also run fuels like mohawk, husky, sunoco, the fuels contain ethanol, or E10 which is safe for cars, and wont affect warrantee. They reduce emissions and burn more effieciently.

The best stuff to get is called cevron, The dealer recomend it . At the dealer i work at it is all we use. It cleans the best. It has the most chemical that cleans them. It is like $5

There is one brand that works the best overall,Lucas.Lucas is the best one on the market and that what my father uses. All you do is put a cretain amount in the gas tank.Like it says on the commercial,it works and that is true.Stay away form STP,it has petroleum stuff in it and Lucas does not have petroleum distiliants in it.Some AutoParts stores sell Lucas.

Re: STP Products for Cavs?

Ive only seen Lucas PS fluid and oil additive...and all Lucas products are rather pricey. $7 for a bottle of power steering fluid, when the same amount of STP would cost ya $2.

oct booster is point less to use with fuel injector cleaner, because the fuel will be to ritch and your car can not burn it all off so it leaves depostis and carbon.
