70 Nova 350 4bbl thottle linkage
Hey all, hope everyone had a good holiday. I have just removed the old Rochester 2bbl carb and intake and picked up an Air-Gap intake and Rochester 4bbl. I cannot find screw in balls for the trottle linkage to connect the throttle cable and trans kickdown. Does anyone know where to find them, or alternatives that work well? Also, pardon my idiot-ness as I have not touched an older car for over 15 years... what order does the thin metal gasket and paper gasket under the carb go?

FYI: for Knowlede base info, I found Edelbrock part number 8018 for the trans kickdown stud. I am still looking for the part number for the Throttle stud.

Is it a Quadrajet? Great carburetors IMO. As for the throttle linkage part you're looking for I'm not sure; mine always came with them. Maybe you could buy a junk carb from the local pick-a-part? You can never have too many spare carbs laying around, lol.
As for the gasket I always used the fiber one by itself. I'm not sure about the metal one, but if used together it would probably go between the carb and the fiber gasket. (heat isolator style) I'll be listening to see what others say.

Thanks Almost. I like Rochesters for two reasons.. 1st being you get about 3 miles per gallon better milage with the smaller primary jets, and two.. I just love the throaty sound when you open them up. BTW: Edelbrock also makes the trottle stud.. it's on order. Will keep ya posted

Edelbrock and others have everything needed. I wound up purchasing (for too much) Edelbrock parts, and later found NAPA has drawers full of just about everything you could need for any carb and stock throttle cable setup.
