Re: i am buyin a dirt bike

Looks can be decieving. I bought my CRF450R off of ebay and picked it up. I was able to see the sellers feedback and it was 100% positive so I bought it. There are a lot of scams out there. You maked the call.

A major retailer in Canada sells a couple of these bikes.

They are made in China. The small 4 stroke bikes use an ancient (40+ year old) Honda engine design. The design is fine, but quite primitve and not near the performance of other bikes. Still, likely thay are fine for the beginner.

I have seen lots of cheap stuff come from China thats pretty good, but it often is not as good as the more expensive Japanese-sourced products.

My concern is parts. Spark plugs, inner tubes tires and drive chains will be easy enough to get at other motorcycle dealers. But anything else must come from this distributor. Who knows if they will be in business or be able to get parts in a year or two.

However, the littl bikes are cheap. If they break and cannot be fixed due to lack of parts you are only out a few hundred pounds, so the risk is low.

Don't bother trying to sell it. I suspect its resale value will be close to zero in a year or two because it is not a name brand.

Finally, try going to the warehouse as shown on the site and sit on a few. Can you take a test ride or speak to someone who owns one?
Some of them are very small, and suitable for little kids, but its hard to tell just from the pics.
