these brakes need to settle down!
ok, i got a brake prob here, wondering if u guys can help me, im kinda a newbie at this, i have a 98 civic dx with a few bolt-ons, nothing major.
onto the prob... whenever i brake as im backing up, i get a high pitched sound, but i dont get it when i brake as im moving forward, but i do get a ticking sound when im moving forward, that gets faster as i go faster. if i hit my brakes, or even tap them, the tick goes away, but comes back a few seconds after i release the brake. both sounds seem to be coming from the right front wheel, and a test pulled the e-brake as i was moving to see if it stopped the ticking, but it doesnt sorry if i dont make much sense, im.... dumb, heh any advice and/or help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

does the sound change when you turn right or left? If so, check your wheel bearings.

Sounds like the pullback pins on the brake pads. It's there to tell you the pads are low. U fixed it.
