Re: Denali/yukon wind noise

It's the two pieces of windshield trim. One on each side. If you open the doors up and look behind the black molding up near the windshield the trim has 4 screws. Take this piece off both sides and run 3M double stick tape the length that contacts the windshield and tape the trim piece to the windshield. After taping this piece to the windshield your noise problem should be gone. From the factory it was never fixed to the windshield.

Thank you very much. I apreciate the advise. I 'm sure thats it. I was looking at that the other day but didnt know if there was anything I could do with that trim. Thanks again

Yes I do have a Stampede brand bug shield installed. But I need to figure this out before I have a Lund Visor installed. Thanks

As hard as this might be to believe, the bug shield is the problem. A factory GMC shield won't do it. Cross winds make the big difference so on a windy day, take the shield off and you will prove it. I'm sure you want to keep the shield so use the two sided tape trick mentioned by YukonGMC.

wind noise

the roof rack can cause noise as well.

I run YAKIMA racks and got HUGE noise until I put an air shield thing, kinda deflecter shield on that YAKIMA makes. That cut the noise way down. I am going to look at my windshield trim as well... that was a good tip.

Re: wind noise

It was the windshield trim for me. I run a GM bug/rock deflector.
