timing belt

how can i check if the timing belt is still good?

is there a way cause a called up 3 hondas up here in canada and they said on my car (00 civic sir) i dont change till 160,000 i never heard that long, the most i've heard was 120 ?

anyone know?

i'm gettin very bad gas milage i think on a full tank i get 400 km (or 250 miles i think) where i hear everyone gettin 500 + anyone know what could be the problem?

anyone know where i can get a stock front lip from someone cracked mine or can i fix it it's on the corner ........

How many miles do you have on your car? Generally people replace them at around 75k. Honda motors are interference motors, so if you bust the timing belt, your valves will slap the piston and give mucho headaches. If it hasn't been replaced I suggest you do it.

The rec. interval for your car is 95K or 105K miles, i'll leave the conversion up to you.

When was your last maint. service? Fluids, fliters, plugs, etc?

you will never get 500+ miles from 11.9 gallons.

timing belt change, refer to your owners manual.

the oem lip is a rare find nowadays. try ebay and forum classifieds.
