Question 2004 vs. 2003

OK, I've researched, on paper, the differences between the '03's and the '04's. I would like to hear unbiased opinions from those who have seat time in both.

I estimate I will put maybe 10k miles per year, at the most, on this vehicle....... but little in the way of easy cruising. Looking at about 6 track days next year as well, but nothing competitive.

Currently looking at a low mileage '03 and a low mileage '04; book price for the '04 is about $2k more than for the '03 (everything the same except for model year). Both are being sold by original owners, but this is just the beginning of my search.

..... which leads to another question - exactly how good is the extended powertrain warranty that comes with a certified pre-owned? Anyone have to use it?

thanks,
Mark

Re: 2004 vs. 2003

02-03 are the best imo.. original 9k redline, original styling..
the 04's are a little more comfy when ridin around town..
but they are not vastly different..
a lot of people will tell you that the difference in tq will make a gigantic difference in person.. i don't really see it that way.. although there is def a difference.
either one is a good choice, i just prefer the look of the 03 over the 04
i've driven a few of the 04-05's.. but i own an 02..
