Exclamation Car Comparison's Car Of The Year - Final 10 Vote!!!

Well the nominations are over, now its time for the cars with the most votes to participate in the final because there can be only one car that will receive the title of:

Car Comparison's C.O.T.Y. 2005 Edition

The order of the cars in the poll is based on the number of nominations. In case that number is equal the cars will be posted alphabetically.

Feel free to discuss the cars

The BMW M5 is in my mind, the perfect car. Its a sedan, has a very high quality interior, plus it has one of the most advanced transmissions ever put in a road car, and an engine that can only be described as amazing. It isn't as fast or inexpensive as a C6 Z06, but the E60 M5 is a daily driver, theres no way in hell I'd put around the city or drive through rush hour in a Corvette.

I'd have to say the Viper has always been my favorite... not to knock the performance of any other car on the ballot... but I really love the viper, the old style better, but I can't say much as far as 580 rwhp... It's an awesome vehicle... that sexy V10 engine... gotta love it... comes stock with nice rims, awesome body styling, great handling, and an awesome top-end, plus as a bonus, bragging rights... if I had ~$80k, I'd definitely get my hands on one...

plus when I worked for Hospira... I worked with a man who worked alongside Daimler-Chrysler to design the car, they are built... and built to last... well, there's my 2 cents... enjoi

Re: Car Comparison's Car Of The Year - Final 10 Vote!!!

The Bugatti Veyron. An engineering marvel, 5 years in the making. Many naysayers, doubters have amassed over the years, but who could blame them? With all the engineering feats that VW/Bugatti had to surpass it seemed nearly impossible. But its here now folks, they have proven to the world that it can be done. Selling for £850,000, and with a production costs of £3 million to £4 million, VW is taking a huge lose on every one of these they roll out. Why would they do it at a lost? Just to prove to the world that it can be done. The Veyron will now be the car, the standard, that all new super cars will be compared to. Congrats to VW/Bugatti.

Dodge also takes a loss on every Viper that rolls outta the line... b/c they use that car to represent the company... though I do like the Veyron... The Viper is much closer to my budget, still outta reach, just much closer...

You have me on the price. A million for a car, any car is just insane. But to me, my interpretation of this 'Car Comparison's Car Of The Year', is of a vehicle that is so spectacular, so ground-breaking, that it shocked the automotive world. And to me, that is what the Veyron did.

Oh most definitely.... I agree it's an impressive vehicle... maybe if I were to be as close to one of them as I was a Viper, my vote would be there... but I've always loved the viper, and when I went to the dealership to look at getting an SRT-4, I was able to look inside the windows (lol, that's pretty sad) of a Viper... and look at all the bodylines and curves... and I already knew the specs... that just made my lust for one grow so much more...

Corvette Z06 no doubt about it for me. It's been hyped, it had legends made about it before it came, it was put up against the best in the world, and it beat them or matched them step for step in performance while still maintaining civility and coming in at a price that is unmatched for a production vehicle of it's caliber.

The only problem with BMW's are the people who drive them

Re: Car Comparison's Car Of The Year - Final 10 Vote!!!

Bang for the buck has to be the Z06. The Bugatti is wicked but it is too alien looking and no one knows how to work on them. It has to be the Ferrari hands down as the best car. It has the deepest history and the most respect world-wide as an exceptional sports car.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Who needs a car with a high-class interior, F1 transmission, or 500 horsepower engine when you can keep up with the aforementioned car for 1/3rd the price? Besides, with all of that HIGHLY ADVANCED technology, you can bet your bottom dollar that something, somewhere (and probably more than one thing) is not going to work properly. I mean, just look at the interiors of some of these $100,000 cars. There are so many damn buttons and switches, you'd get a migraine just sitting down in the thing and adjusting the controls!

Performance, along with simplicity, practicality, and reliability are my criteria, and the STi is a perfect match. With four doors, five-star performance, and a price tag one sixth of many exotics that it can keep up with, how can you go wrong?

Veyron, because like the Concorde this car is legendary, there hasnt been anything like it before, and there will (probably) never be anything like it in the future.
Its pure unadulterated engineering.

What buttons on what cars are you talking about. As far as i know, supecars tend to keep everything at a minimal.
