89 Celebrity

I found a 1989 Celebrity 4 dr, with 59k original miles; it's in excellent condition.

2.5 I4, Auto trans, he wants 1500 for it, I'm thinkin of offering 1200.

Any thoughts?

if it is in very good condition, and everything works fine, then i would say it is a good price. expecially if there is no rust on it.

but i wouold honostly only offer him $1000

Re: 89 Celebrity

Yeah, after doing some reading, I'm thinking 1000 is a good price, too. It is in good condition, but it's still only an 89 Celebrity. It does have the power package: cruise, windows, door locks. But no premium sound system or power seats. Gotta wonder who ordered it that way.

The 2.8 V6 is definitely more popular, and I think it would be worth more if it had a V6. A grand sounds good, thanks for the input.

yea, no offence or anything, but celebs arent really worth much.

I have an 85, 2 door with 25,000 miles on it that is in showroom condition, and i could probably sell it for only $1500

Re: 89 Celebrity

Oh, it's cool, no offense taken. It's a car for the kids to drive. I'm just looking for a dependable, cheap car. I have a Ford Fairmont for them to drive right now. If they break it, I'll just throw it away.

I want something a little larger than the average rice burner, so it's safer in a crash.
